The Sunshine Won’t Last, So You Should Enjoy It Now

by petroarticles on July 30, 2010

So the weather has been beautiful for the last month or so, with no rain whatsoever, it’s been like a heatwave in the UK. The majority of us are either outside enjoying the sun, or stuck inside trying to get as close to the fan as possible (even now i’m sat right next to my Boneco 2055d wishing it would make the office cooler). It’s so hot at the moment, and there’s been so little rain so local county councils are even considering the almighty hosepipe ban.

Despite the reports telling us it’s the longest dry spell since the 20’s and that it doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon, we all know it will in reality stop fairly soon. We live in a country that just seems to love to rain, and give it a few months and you’ll be hogging the electric wall heaters like there’s no tomorrow.

As much as we all say we want England to be hotter, whenever it is warm we do nothing but complain. We all seem far more suited to the cold, and England simply won’t let us down on that front. Some reports suggest that the winter could continue being dry, but that it would be extremely cold instead. So if you are complaining about the heat, I suggest you make the most of it now because in a couple of months you’ll be missing it.

There is one advantage to the hot weather though; in knowing how cold next winter will be, you could stock up now while it’s cheap and nobody else is doing the same thing. Sure, you might feel a little odd asking for an infrared patio heater when it’s 30 degrees outside, but you’ll have the last laugh when it’s freezing and you’re having beers in the garden with friends.
